Red Curtain Boxed Set

Marnie and I hit up Costco over the weekend and picked up two dvd boxes sets (because you know, we don't have 300 dvds yet). One was the Matrix Boxed set, I mean, I guess I had to buy this as a Scifi fan. I'm having trouble with adjusting the sound so that it's not super loud during explosions and Morpheus isn't constantly whispering.

The other boxed set however, I am much more excited about. It is the red curtain boxed set. It includes Moulin Rouge, Romeo + Juliet, and Strictly Ballroom. All three of these movies are on my top 100 list. We watched Strictly Ballroom last night and you should have seen the looks she gave me as I danced around the living room. Melli wasn't all that impressed either.

Who is your 3rd?

So Tim Russert and George Carlin have passed recently. Who is your 3rd in the celebrity deathpool?

- Amy Whinehouse - She has emphazema (SP?) and is at 70% lung capacity.
- Kirk Douglas - Jeez...he's old (91)
- Ernest Bourgnine - he's up there too

What do you think?

In Seattle for a DMF

So the traveling for the new job has begun. I'm in Seattle this weekend for the Darkmoon Faire Seattle. I'm usually at events for the coverage aspect, but this time it's for the events management side. Definitely a different feeling.

Coverage

yea, job is still super busy, barely have time to breath, etc.

Seattle is really really green, but it's not raining, which is nice.

Annnnndddd...we are back on track

Back from AZ.

Meghan and Justin looked beautiful and the wedding was very well done. It was a short ceremony with big reception. I will chat later about how I felt personally about the whole thing. I haven't decided if I'm going to put pen to paper about those feelings just yet.

I got to see my other family as well, which is one of the main reasons I went. Heather, Christopher, and Chloe came out from Illinois for the wedding. I always have a blast with them. They love movies just as much as I do. They almost always get every single movie quote that I drop in passing, it's awesome. I really do miss these guys. I wish they lived closer. We took lots of pictures, these should be up soon. Had a lot of fun at Gameworks.

Updated the Heather's Trip blog at the right with more pictures.
