Tru Dat
There was no curse, the Redsox just sucked for 86 years.
Likewise, the Cubs' curse was a lack of a farm system after the 1945 team was dismantled. The curse continued under the College of Coaches and the cynical ownership of the Trib. The curse continues with bad scouting, farm development, management, defensive coaching, offensive coaching, and pitching coaching.

I wouldn't say they sucked for 86 years. They were mediocre for many of those years, and ok/pretty good for some as well.
